Our approach

Search with purpose.

A rigorous, partner-led methodology designed around the realities of senior appointments.

01

Understanding the requirement

Before commencing any assignment, we provide our clients with an objective assessment of how the role is likely to be perceived by potential candidates. We also evaluate any foreseeable challenges and outline realistic timelines for the search process.

In collaboration with our client, we agree the role specification and the desired professional and personal attributes for the position. We take the time to understand the organisation in depth—its business model, culture, and team dynamics—by meeting with key decision makers and those with whom the role will interact. This ensures absolute clarity and alignment before the search begins.

02

Research

We undertake a comprehensive research and market mapping exercise across the agreed target markets to identify the most relevant and qualified candidates. This includes assessing talent within direct competitors as well as individuals operating in adjacent or complementary sectors. In addition, we leverage our extensive network of professional and personal contacts to source candidates through trusted referrals and recommendations.

03

Shortlist

Following a thorough screening and interview process, we refine the longlist into a qualified shortlist of candidates who have been rigorously assessed against the role specification, as well as for personality and cultural alignment. We present this shortlist to our client within the agreed timeframe and manage the subsequent interview process with the selected candidates.

04

Offer stage

Once the client has selected the preferred candidate, we guide both parties through the formal offer negotiation process, ensuring that the client’s interests are fully protected throughout. We remain closely engaged with the candidate during the resignation period and, if required, oversee the completion of all contractual formalities to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

Why the process matters.

Senior appointments require more than matching a CV to a role. The right search considers strategic importance, market perception, organisational culture and the people who will work together.

Candidate motivation, team dynamics, compensation expectations, career trajectory, geography and timing all inform our judgement. The aim is a thoughtful assessment of long-term fit.
